Elderly & Totally Disabled Homeowners Tax Credit
State Program
Note: this program does not begin until February 1, 2010.
Please call in the end of January for an appointment.

If you have a specific question about your property assessment, please call the assessor's office at 291-7260.
To make an appointment to have forms made out to apply for this tax credit, please call social services at 291-7248. Applications being taken between February 1st and May 15th.

65 years of age as of December 31, 2009 or
100% disabled 18 and over permanently and totally disabled

The following information is required with application
Total income from 2009-all sources
Social Security income for 2009 (form SSA 1099)
Pension Benefits for 2009
Interest statements, dividends from stocks & bonds for 2009
Railroad Retirement for 2009
Assets
Your assets, excluding the value of your primary residence and any tax deferred retirement investments, can not exceed $100,000.
Filing Dates
Applications need to be filed between February 1st and May 15th at least every two years.
If you are presently on the Elderly Program and it is time for you to renew, you will receive the application in the mail.
