Dear East Hartford Residents:
The following items were discussed at the last luncheon.
- Development in Town of East Hartford
- Pizza Hut on Silver Lane is now open
- Aaron's Furniture store is moving into the old Royal Buffet property on Silver Lane
- We are continuing to market the old Showcase Cinema land
- We are actively looking to fill the old Big Y store
- I am asking resident to contact their U. S. Representatives and request that they step up their efforts for levee repair funding. The town is spending 14 million, but still needs 12.8 million for repairs.
- I'm asking all residents to participate in a town wide spring clean up. "Let's spring into action and make our town look like it should." To aide in this cleaning effort, the town dump will be open every Saturday in May to encourage residents to clean up their property.
