Big Rooms at both centers – new chairs (with arms and padding), curtains, paint, lighting
Floor cleaning equipment and supplies
Restroom renovation at South End
Commercial kitchen for South End
Commercial stove/oven for North End
Framed posters/art work for both senior centers to de-institutionalize décor
Automatic air fresheners for both centers restrooms
New furnishings in library room
New air conditioners
Plants
Program Related Needs:
Funding for entertainment at special events
Funding to pay instructors (we’re always looking for new instructors to offer new programs)
Funding to pay guest speakers (authors, etc.)
Approximately $3,000 annually to operate a drop-in breakfast program four mornings per week (coffee, juice, muffins, bagels donuts, etc. & subscriptions to Hartford Courant & USA Today)
Services of a photographer to take pictures at special events
Approximately $1,500 in funding for volunteer recruitment & recognition throughout the year
Donations of food, door prizes, decorations, program printing services and advertising for Fashion Show as well as clothing store willing to supply clothes for women and a tuxedo shop willing to supply men’s clothing
Donations of food, door prizes, decorative items and printing services for Talent Show
Funding to defray program fees and associated costs for those who cannot afford to attend events (income limits would be developed)
Paper goods (i.e. cups, plates, napkins, plasticware, paper towels, foil, plastic wrap, baggies, etc.)
Coffee, cups, sugar, creamers
Exercise equipment
Resource Library
Bottled water

Miscellaneous Needs:
Funding for Channing Bete brochures, pamphlets, etc. for display racks
Display racks and bulletin boards
Magazine subscriptions (Newsweek, Time, Good Housekeeping, Readers Digest, etc.)
Seasonal/holiday decorations, table centerpieces
Board games (Monopoly, Scrabble, Chess, Checkers, etc.)
Tablecloth linen service for 75 tablecloths for meal program
Computer software for operating senior center
Copy machine and supplies for NE center
Disco Ball and lights for evening dances
Big Screen TV and DVD Player (one for each center), movies
Popcorn machine and supplies
Gift Certificates to area businesses, restaurants, etc.
LCD Projection equipment & screen
