REVALUATION PROGRAM
The 2006 Revaluation Program for the Town of East Hartford is complete. The Town hired the firm of J. F. Ryan Associates, Inc. to help conduct its state-mandated reassessment program, which is now required every five years. The new assessments from this program will be effective for the October 1, 2006 Grand List.
The Data Collectors checked the exterior and also asked to do a brief interior inspection. Exterior photographs of each property were also taken.
These tasks help the Assessor’s Office verify the existing data on the town records and enhance its ability to identify and maintain the property inventory throughout the Town. The Revaluation Program is important for all property owners, it establishes current values resulting in fair and equitable assessments.
The new values as of October 1, 2006 will be phased in over a two year period.
